Working together for a
Better Future
A NOTE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN:
Hello all, it seems that spring has sprung! Sure hope it sticks around for a while.
With spring comes road work and repair. We will be doing some culvert work and ditch cleaning once it dries out a bit and the frost heaves are done.
This year the township is working to reclaim material from the shoulders that belongs on the road surface. This material gets worked out to the shoulders over time by a combination of general traffic, road grading, snow plowing and weather. You may have seen our Maintenance staff out with the tractor and a disc type machine called a reclaimer. This process will bring the material back onto the road surface so it can be used to reshape the road. This process also reshapes the shoulder of the road to allow for better drainage.
This process takes a few days to complete. So, if your road is being worked on please be patient with this process.
Here's to warm weather-finally!
